Sevvy collaborated with Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences on educational video

Therefore, next to providing internships, we are pleased that we collaborated with the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences on a new video (Dutch spoken) for their Nutrition and Dietetics program. By empowering the next generation, we aim to promote innovation and sustainability within the food industry.

The Kansen voor West III authority granted Sevvy and a key industry partner a significant subsidy contribution for a project impacting positively the entire bakery value chain, including clear benefits for the end consumer. A key objective of this grant supported project is to enable healthier bread and pastries while minimize energy consumption in baking processes and addressing food waste in the bakery value chain. By implementing innovative technologies and sustainable practices, Sevvy and partners aim to revolutionize bread production methods, making them healthier, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Sevvy took the spotlight with a showcase of our sustainable cooking technology, accompanied by delightful blueberry muffins. Over four days, chef Jeffrey Schoeman wowed thousands of attendees and media at the Netherlands Pavilion with live cooking demos. Notably, our innovative technology caught the attention of none other than the legendary Stevie Wonder. Stevie not only complimented Sevvy on the delectable taste of our muffins but also engaged in a conversation about the about the workings of our technology.

CES® 2024 Innovation Award 'Best of Innovation'

We're thrilled to share the exciting news that the Sevvy Smart Cooker has been honored with the CES® 2024 Innovation Award 'Best of Innovation'!
The CES Innovation Awards program received this year a record number of over 3000 submissions. It is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 29 consumer technology product categories. The Consumer Technology Association: “This product scored highly across the evaluation criteria in design, engineering and innovation showcasing the pioneering ingenuity driving our industry." Kamiel de Leur, CEO of Sevvy: “This honor serves a tremendous motivation for us to further enhance and refine Sevvy technology for numerous future applications driving positive impacts on quality, sustainability and health.”

CES Unveiled in Amsterdam

Sevvy participated in CES Unveiled Amsterdam, a local sneak peak of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in 2024. Sevvy was one of the 75 exhibitors, and we surprised the visitors with our Blueberry Muffin Square, baked in less than 3 minutes and using 90% less electricity with Sevvy technology.  The blueberry compote is easily prepared and retains full flavor and vitamins up to 40%, and uses only 10% sugar versus regular compotes.

Good Industrial Designs list

September 2023
Sevvy earns a spot on the prestigious 100 Good Industrial Designs list. The G100 Awards showcase the best the Netherlands has to offer in the field of industrial product design. It is an initiative of the Designlink foundation and awarded this recognition to 100 designs by Dutch designers. The Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) has selected Sevvy to join the VivaTech startup mission June 13 to 17, 2023 in Paris. Sevvy served all visitors to the NL Lounge delicious Sevvy orange VivaTech petit fours, freshly made by our chef using our innovative cooking technology. The sponge cake of the petit fours is baked in less than two minutes with the Sevvy technology. The orange compote is easily prepared and is using 90% less electricity, retaining full flavor and vitamins up to 40% more, and using only 15% sugar versus regular compotes. A radical new way of cooking and baking.

iF DESIGN AWARD

We are proud to announce that Sevvy has won an iF DESIGN AWARD, the world-renowned design prize! Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD. Sevvy won over the 133-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world.

Recently, brasserie Jefferson in Amsterdam served dishes prepared with Sevvy cooking technology for almost a week. This provided not only a delicious and healthy culinary experience for the guests, but also the restaurant itself was impressed by the technology.
The chefs at the popular brasserie saved almost a working day in preparation time as dishes were prepared using Sevvy cooking technology.
